Kastriot Sopa vs Abdallah Twaha announced

After the bitter defeat in the fight for the WBC Baltic title, Kastriot Sopa (9-1, 4 KOs) wants to strike back.

The German welterweight with Albanian roots will get back in the ring on November 21 against Abdallah Twaha (9-1, 7 KOs) at 'The Show Must Go On VII' by Fides Sports Promotion.

For the former top amateur, it should mark the start of a new attempt.

Setbacks are part of boxing. What matters is how a fighter reacts to them. For Kastriot Sopa, the next chapter of his pro career begins on November 21. At 'The Show Must Go On VII' at the Maritim Hotel Ingolstadt, the welterweight will step between the ropes for the first time since his defeat against Yauheni Makarchuk.

Recently, Sopa had the chance to take an important step toward the international rankings with the WBC Baltic title. However, the title fight against Makarchuk ended prematurely: Sopa suffered a knockout loss in the third round.

Now the focus should be looking forward again. Fides Sports Promotion, led by promoter Burim Sylejmani, wants to give the technically skilled welterweight the chance to fight his way back and show what potential he still has.

"Kastriot was a strong amateur and can achieve a lot as a professional too. We want to give him the chance to come back and make up for his loss," says Sylejmani. "His fighting style is very attractive to the fans. He's one of those boxers people really enjoy watching."

In fact, Sopa brings an extensive amateur career as a foundation. His boxing skills and willingness to fight offensively especially made him an interesting figure in the welterweight division even after turning professional.

The defeat against Makarchuk shouldn’t mark the end of his ambitions, but rather become a turning point. On November 21, the Stuttgart native will get the chance to give his first sporting response in the ring.

For Fides Sports Promotion, his return also fits perfectly with the concept of “The Show Must Go On VII.” The event is once again set to feature a mix of ambitious pros, up-and-coming talents, and fighters who really have something at stake.

For Kastriot Sopa, there’s one main goal: getting back on the winning track. If he manages to do that convincingly in Ingolstadt, a shot at a title could follow in 2027.

“The Show Must Go On VII” takes place on November 21 at the Maritim Hotel Ingolstadt. Tickets are available at www.eventim.de.
