Adam Balski wins WBC Francophone bridgerweight title
KnockOut Boxing Night 32 took place at the Hala Sportowo-Widowiskowa Arena in Kalisz, Poland and in the main event, Adam Balski (19-2, 11KO) and Artur Górski (8-2, 4KO) competed for the WBC Francophone bridgerweight belt.
The fight started quickly with 33-year-old Balski landing a powerful right hand very early on, which put Górski down. He looked to the referee, who counted him out at just 1:49 of the first round.
The 24-year-old from Poland stood up suddenly and did not hide his surprise and upset at what had just happened.
Balski officially achieved his 19th victory and 11th by knockout. His last three KO wins have all come in round one.
The victor's last loss came at the hands of the powerful "Savage" Alen Babic in 2022 at the O2 Arena in Greenwich. Despite losinng on a unanimous decision to the Croatian KO king, he lasted the full 10-rpunds and even knocked Babic down in the first.
The supervisor of this fight was the vice president of the WBC, Houcine Houichi.
