Alan David Picasso KOs Jesús Adrián Gómez

Fresh faced Mexican super bantamweight contender Alan David “Rey” Picasso (15-1, 6KOs) KO'd his compatriot, Jesús Adrián “Topito” Gómez (11-3, 8KOs) in six rounds, last Saturday, February 13, in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.

20-year-old “Rey” Picasso showed his flourishing ability and considerable power, piercing the defence of “Topito” Gómez with jolting jabs and long range but effective combinations in the second round.

More of the same from round three onwards with Picasso smartly solving the attempted pressure from Gómez and based on boxing, distance management and good movement, he was able to avoid punishment while landing frequent clusters of his own telling blows.

Picasso, who is trained by Alfredo Caballero, landed a well timed left hook to the liver in the sixth, winding Gomez who winced in pain and couldn't beat the count.

Alan David Picasso is the current WBC Youth Intercontinental featherweight champion and is skyrocketing his way up the rankings.
