Two title fights take place just 15 miles apart in the North East of England on October 31
Jack Scott (21-3, 11 KOs) and Callum Walton (8-1, 1 KO) clash for the BBBofC Northern Area super-middleweight title at the Sunderland Live Arena, and Gemma Paige (5-0, 1 KO) faces Canadian Carolyn Redmond (9-2, 3 KO) for the WBO International super-lightweight strap at the Vertu Motors Arena in nearby Newcastle.
Both titles are vacant. Both shows are stacked with talent. Four fighters collide but only two can emerge as champions.
Jack Scott vs Callum Walton
30-year-old southpaw, Jack Scott, hails from nearby Wallsend and only won two from his first six professional contests.
But since 2023 he has won 19 bouts in a row and collected two titles, including the WBC Asian light-heavyweight belt.
Callum 'El Cannon' Walton is 21 from Chilton, County Durham and turned pro in 2023. He has only fought against journeymen so far, and was upset by one in his last bout.
He won his pro debut by knockout, then managed to win all but one of his points wins by shutout, but then Chatham's Grant Dennis pipped him 59-58 on points in his last fight in April.
That provides somewhat of a measuring gauge because Jack Scott also fought Dennis in his last fight in August, but with a very different result. Scott floored Dennis in both the second and fourth rounds to win 39-35 on points.
Walton commented on social media, "The Northern area super middleweight title is the one I’ve wanted to win since first turning professional.
There's five undefeated prospects and four debutants in action on the undercard.
Gemma Paige vs Carolyn Redmond
Gemma Paige Richardson is 25-years-old from Lincoln and has won all five fights since turning pro in 2025.
Paige won her pro debut on points 60-55, sharing just one round with her opponent, then stopped her next opponent in round five of six. Her next three points wins were all won by shutout, so she is yet to lose a single professional round.
Her amateur background is both extensive and illustrious, winning four European golds, a Commonwealth Games silver medal (2022 Birmingham), and Youth World Championships gold.
Gemma trains under John Stubbs and her father, Ricko Richardson.
Carolyn Redmond, 35 from Canada, trains with Sam Mullins at Churchill’s Boxing Gym in Lambeth, London, and this will be her first pro title challenge.
The WBO International super-lightweight title on the line was initially won by Flora Pili in 2024, who went on to become an IBO world champion to challenge Katie Taylor for the undisputed championship this year.
Richardson said, "We both want to win the title to progress in our career, but we're also entertainers, so hopefully we can put a good show for them and for the women."
Topping the bill is another 10-round contest between unbeaten super-welterweight Alex 'Black Diamond' Farrell (14-0, 7 KOs) against Finalnd's Rami 'Schakal' El Jahiri (7-2-1, 2 KOs).
