Shakur Stevenson signs with Zuffa

Four-weight champ Shakur Stevenson joins Zuffa

WBO and Ring Magazine super-lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson (25-0, 11 KOs) has just signed with Zuffa Boxing on July 9, 2026.

The 29-year-old unbeaten superstar from Newark is a four-weight world champion and, arguably, Zuffa Boxing's biggest signing to date.

Stevenson said, "With Zuffa Boxing, I’m going to go after the biggest fights in the sport and I will become the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world."

In his last fight, Stevenson moved up in weight to challenge WBO super lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez (22–1,13 KOs) in January 2026 in New York, as part of "The Ring VI," exclusively on DAZN . Stevenson was a heavy –350 favourite and proved exactly why with a dominant unanimous decision win, with Lopez winning only one round.

Many fight fans would like to see New Jersey stylist face fellow undefeated American star, Devin Haney, who has revealed that Stevenson is one of just two names on his hit-list . Haney is the reigning WBO World welterweight champ, so a fight with 'The Dream' would present Shakur with the chance to become a five-weight world champion , a feat only achieved by a very small number of boxers, such as Thomas Hearns, Sugar Ray Leonard, Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao and Terence Crawford.
