Harlem Eubank answers Q&A ahead of Jack Catterall clash

Welterweight boxer Harlem Eubank , in an interview with Betfred , has claimed that his family’s name is “back at the top” of boxing and backs himself for a “statement fashion” win over the favourite, Jack Catterall, this weekend in Manchester, live on DAZN .

Harlem Eubank on whether Saturday’s fight with Jack Catterall is his biggest fight to date:

“Yes, I think so. This is a guy who’s fought at world level many times and that’s where I believe I belong.”

Harlem Eubank on Jack Catterall’s jump in weight to welterweight and how he believes it will impact him on Saturday:

“It was comfortable for me, but I can’t predict how it’s going to be for him. It’s a natural step, it’s a natural progression and a lot of fighters do it. You outgrow your weight-class and you have to move into the next one. It’s commonplace in boxing and we’ve both had to do it.”

“I think sometimes that people have something against the Eubanks and we don’t know why, but regardless, we go in there and upset the odds. We all have that in us and it holds us in good stead for occasions like this.”

Harlem Eubank on whether he believes he was destined to get a world level fight in the same year Chris Eubank Jr won a huge fight against Conor Benn and when everybody’s talking about the Eubanks:

“It’s been Eubank supremacy and that will remain. It’s our time in the sport, the name is back where it belongs at the top of the sport and I’m ready to go in there at world level on Saturday and hold the name high.”

Harlem Eubank on Jack Catterall’s claims that he wouldn’t have got this fight without the Eubank name:

“It works well for me because it means that he doesn’t see what I see, which he’ll pay for in the ring.”
