Everything you need to know about unbeaten prospect Gemma Paige Richardson

Paige is an 5x English, 4x European and World amateur champion

Gemma Paige Richardson was born 4 August 2001 in Lincoln, England, but was raised in Scunthorpe.

Paige began attending Scunthorpe Boxing Club at the age of six after watching her older brother train. Her father, Ricko Richardson, was a boxing coach and subsequently trained both children.

Gemma began taking training seriously as early as aged eight, competing for the first time at 10, then was selected to represent England at just 12.

Her international medal journey includes Junior European silver in Turkey in 2016, Junior European gold in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2017, the Youth World title in Budapest in 2018, back-to-back European Youth gold medals in Roseto (2018) and Sofia (2019), Senior European gold in Italy in 2021, and Commonwealth Games silver for England in Birmingham in 2022. She is also a five-time National Champion.

Representing England and Great Britain at the highest level, she left the amateurs with an outstanding 70–8 record.

She defeated Germany's Stefanie von Berge, who later became the first German woman to win a senior European boxing title in 2022.

After missing selection for the 2024 Summer Olympics, Richardson left the amateur system and signed professional terms with promoter Steve Wood and 11:11 Management.

Paige turned professional in 2025 and has won all five fights, so far.

Richardson made her professional debut on 8 March 2025 at the Toughsheet Community Stadium in Bolton, defeating Angelika Oles over six rounds by a referee's score of 60–55.

In her second bout, Richardson faced Tereza Dvořáková at Connexin Live Arena in Hull on 28 June 2025. She recorded her first professional stoppage when the contest was halted at 1:45 of the fifth round.

After an eight-month absence, Richardson returned on 5 April 2026 on Most Valuable Promotions' first all-women's card in the United Kingdom at Olympia London, winning a six-round shutout points decision over Johana Rajmont.

She improved to 4–0 in June 2026 by winning every round of a six-round contest against Jana Duchonova in Bolton.

In her fifth pro bout, she defeated former European female welterweight champion Kirstie Bavington at bp pulse LIVE in Birmingham on 29 August 2026.

She has yet to lose a single professional round.

As of August 2026, Richardson was ranked seventh in the world at welterweight by the WBA.

Richardson trains between Tenacity Hartlepool and Scunthorpe Boxing Gym under John Stubbs and her father, Ricko Richardson.

Gemma Paige (5-0, 1 KO) next faces Canadian Carolyn Redmond (9-2, 3 KO) on Halloween 2026 for the WBO International super-lightweight strap at the Vertu Motors Arena in nearby Newcastle.
