Devin Haney vs Gervonta Davis may be happening next

Devin Haney sensationally revealed that Gervonta Davis's team has reached out about a potential showdown between the two unbeaten American champions.

On June 23, Haney wrote: "I think Gervonta grew some balls... his team reached out! We might just end up fighting!!"

For many weeks, rumours have been circulating over a potential clash between Haney and another unbeaten American, Shakur Stevenson .

But now, this latest bombshell could see three-weight world champions Haney and Davis fight it out next.

Devin "The Dream" has won world titles at lightweight - where he became undisputed - super-lightweight and welterweight.

"Tank" is also a triple champ with world titles at super-featherweight, lightweight, super-lightweight.

The Baltimore boxer drew his last fight with his old amateur rival, Lamont Roach Jr. in March 2025, 16 months ago now. The 31-year-old has only fought twice in the past three years.

27-year-old Haney from California fought twice last year, firstly decisioning Jose Ramirez in his comeback fight from the controversial No Contest with Ryan Garcia in 2024; then he dropped and decisioned WBO World welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr. last November to ceome a three-division ruler.

The two American rivals are unbeaten in 65 bouts between them.
