WBC Ukraine welcomed two new champions in the Light Heavyweight and Lightweight divisions

Anton Cherniakov captured the WBC Ukraine Light Heavyweight title in September, while Bohdan Beida added the WBC Ukraine Lightweight belt to his undefeated record in October.

Both title bouts produced decisive results and marked important milestones in the careers of the new champions.

ANTON CHERNIAKOV IS THE NEW WBC UKRAINE LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION

On September 5, a bout between Anton Cherniakov (7-0, 4 KOs) and Oleksandr Ivkov (8-2-1, 6 KOs) took place in Sheptytskyi, Lviv Region with the WBC Ukraine Light Heavyweight title at stake.

A day before the bout, on September 4, the boxers took part in the official weigh-in. Anton Cherniakov weighed in at 79.240 kg, while Oleksandr Ivkov registered 79.340 kg. Both fighters made the Light Heavyweight limit.

The bout ended in the sixth round, with Anton Cherniakov securing a victory by technical knockout. Following a series of effective attacks from Cherniakov, the referee stopped the contest, awarding him the stoppage victory.

At the time of the stoppage, Cherniakov was ahead on all three judges’ scorecards: Ihor Kalenchenko scored the bout 48–47, while Viktor Fesechko and Ruslan Myshko both had it 49–46 in Cherniakov’s favor.

With this victory, unbeaten Anton Cherniakov claimed the WBC Ukraine Light Heavyweight title, marking an important milestone in his professional career.

BOHDAN BEIDA BECOMES WBC UKRAINE LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION

On October 3 in Vinnytsia, Bohdan Beida (5-0, 3 KOs) and Dmytro Tsiupka (11-6-1, 6 KOs) met in a title fight in the lightweight division (up to 61.2 kg). The WBC Ukraine title was at stake.

The day before, on October 2, the boxers took part in the official weigh-in. Bohdan Beida weighed 60.650 kg, while Dmytro Tsiupka came in at 61 kg. Both fighters successfully made the lightweight limit and were cleared for the title bout.

Beida entered the fight undefeated, with a professional record of 4-0, 3 KOs. For him, the bout represented his first opportunity to win the WBC Ukraine title.

Dmytro Tsiupka entered the contest with a record of 11-5-1, 6 KOs and had previously fought for the WBC Ukraine title in April 2026 against Taras Bondarchuk.

Tsiupka started the fight more actively and looked stronger in the opening rounds. However, from the third round onward, Beida gradually took over the initiative and began to control the pace of the bout more consistently.

Through the middle rounds, Bohdan maintained a high work rate, kept moving forward and forced his opponent to fight under pressure. The contest remained competitive, with some rounds being scored differently by the judges.

In the closing stages, Tsiupka tried to turn the fight around and finished strongly in the final round, but it was not enough to change the overall outcome.

After the full 100 rounds, all three judges awarded the victory to Bohdan Beida. Viktor Fesechko scored the bout 97–93, while Igor Kalenchenko and Ruslan Myshko both scored it 96–94 in favor of Beida.

With the unanimous decision victory, Bohdan Beida became the new WBC Ukraine lightweight champion.

Following the win, Beida’s professional record improved to 5-0, 3 KOs. It was his fifth victory in five professional bouts and his first WBC Ukraine title.
