The Bomber is back! Owen Corrigan faces toughest test yet in Perth

Perth fight fans are in for another explosive night when Dragon Fire Boxing returns to Metro City in Northbridge on November 27 for the 56th edition of the iconic Thunderdome series.

One of the card’s most anticipated matchups will see undefeated rising star Owen “Bomber” Corrigan (7-0, 3 KOs) take on the experienced Bryan “Choo Choo” Roberts (11-5, 2 KOs) in a highly anticipated light heavyweight showdown.

Both fighters enter the contest riding winning streaks, with everything on the line as they look to continue their momentum and emerge victorious. With Corrigan determined to protect his undefeated record and Roberts bringing a wealth of professional experience into the ring, fight fans can expect a slugfest.

Ahead of his November 27 showdown, Corrigan spoke about the challenge awaiting him and the work he is putting in behind the scenes to ensure he is ready for his toughest test to date.

“Yeah, he’s a tough opponent. He’s been to war and back before. He’s the best I’ve faced to date, but the better the opponent, the better I am.”

Corrigan has been putting in the hard yards in Thailand, pushing himself to the limit as he prepares for what could be a defining performance in his professional career.

“Training’s going brilliantly. I’m getting some tough-ass work in over here in Thailand, pushing myself to the limit and leaving no stone unturned. I’m doing whatever I can to get the most out of my body.”

There is no shortage of confidence from the undefeated Australian, but Corrigan is leaving the trash talk to others. He knows Roberts is a seasoned professional who will arrive prepared for battle.

“I’ve got no shit talk for my opponent. He’s going to do his work and come in ready. I’m going to be ready, and I’ll do my talking in the ring!”

With 2027 on the horizon, Corrigan insists there is no room for distractions. His entire focus is on November 27 and the challenge that awaits him at Thunderdome 56.

“Big love to my fans. Some great people, and I’m looking forward to hearing them. Make sure you get your tickets soon, guys. This is a sell-out!

“2027 can wait. I’m not looking past November 27. For now, Thunderdome 56 is the be-all and end-all to me. When I wake up and when I sleep, that’s all I’m thinking about. Like Apollo Creed says, ‘There is no tomorrow!’”

For Corrigan, this is about more than extending an unbeaten record. It is about stepping up against his toughest opponent yet, proving his progress and delivering a performance his supporters will remember.

This is one matchup Perth boxing fans will not want to miss.
