Big Bad Bazley is back!

Four fights. four wins. one dangerous heavyweight with everything to prove.

Perth fight fans are in for a heavyweight showdown when Dragon Fire Boxing returns to Metro City, Northbridge, on November 27 for THUNDERDOME 56.

Undefeated Western Australian heavyweight Michael “Big Bad” Bazley (4-0, 4 KOs) faces China’s heavy-handed Huang Jiayi in a matchup loaded with knockout power.

Jiayi enters the contest with a 3-1 record, having scored knockouts in all three of his professional victories. With both heavyweights bringing proven stopping power into the ring, Bazley faces a dangerous opponent as he looks to extend his unbeaten run to five wins.

Bazley knows the danger — but he’s not backing down.

“He’s 3-1, with all three wins coming by knockout, so he’s obviously dangerous. But he’s never faced a heavyweight from this part of the world.

“I’ve seen the photos, and I’m not sure if it’s the camera angles or what, but that nose of his looks like a homing beacon. I’m sure I won’t have any trouble finding the target.

“On November 27, I’m going to give him a dose of Australian heavyweight boxing he’ll never forget.”

The confidence is unmistakable, but Bazley knows fights are won long before the first bell. Training, discipline and sacrifice are what separate talkers from fighters.

“Training isn’t always fun. It’s burning lungs, fatigue, pushing yourself when you’re uncomfortable, and sacrificing nights out and events that everyone else gets to enjoy.

“But if you don’t sacrifice for what you want, what you want becomes the sacrifice. I leave everything in that gym, so when I step into the ring, I’ve got absolutely no regrets.”

Bazley has a clear message for his opponent: the knockout power might be equal, but Jiayi is stepping into enemy territory.

“You’ve got a 100% KO ratio, and so do I. But you’re a long way from home. You’re coming to my city, my territory. I’ll be there to welcome you to Perth just how I have done for everyone else.”

Bazley believes Western Australian heavyweight boxing is back — and he intends to help lead the charge.

“This isn’t tap-and-run, point-scoring boxing. This is two heavyweights with bad intentions, coming to do damage and leave a lasting impact on Thunderdome 56.

“The big boys are back, and we’re here to remind everyone why heavyweight boxing is the most dangerous division in the sport.”

Looking beyond November, Bazley wants to become more than an undefeated fighter. He wants to become a champion the local community can rally behind.

“My goal for 2027 is to keep making WA boxing great and give the people a heavyweight they can truly get behind. I want to earn the crowd’s respect, win their support, and become the people’s champion.”

But first comes Huang Jiayi.

Four wins. An unbeaten record. A dangerous opponent with three knockout victories. On November 27, Big Bad Bazley puts it all on the line.

This is heavyweight boxing — and Perth fans won’t want to miss it.
