Joshua Buatsi vs Willy Hutchinson 2

Joshua Buatsi and Willy Hutchinson will run it back on Saturday, November 7, at the Manchester Arena for the WBC Interim light-heavyweight title, live on DAZN.

The British rivals clashed two years ago, in September 2024, which saw JB emerge as the winner following a split decision at ringside, scored 115-110, 112-113, 117-108 to the victor.

Olympic bronze medallist Buatsi dropped his opponent to the canvas twice to scoop up the vacant WBO Interim belt that night, but lost it in his very next fight to Callum Smith in February 2025. Nine months later, Buatsi bounced back to beat Zach Parker, narrowly, via mixed decision.

Now, the 33-year-old Ghanaian-born Brit is challenging for the vacant WBC Interim title against a familiar opponent that he has already defeated. Buatsi is ranked WBC #3 and Hutchinson is WBC #4, with the winner set to be in pole position to challenge the WBC titleholder, David Benavidez, next.

The Scottish 'Hutch Train' has also had two fights since his meeting with Buatsi, winning both against credible competition in once-beaten Mark Jeffers, then undefeated Ezra Taylor, picking up the WBO Global light-heavyweight strap in the last fight in March.

The event will be promoted by Queensberry with both boxers signed by promoter Frank Warren.
