Unbeaten featherweights Dayan Gonzalez and Wira Mikham lock horns for vacant IBO World title in Liverpool
Dayan Gonzalez vs Wira Mikham top stacked card in Liverpool
On Friday, December 6, unbeaten Cuban Dayan Gonzalez (15-0, 13KO) faces Thailand's Wira Mikham (16-0, 11KO) in the main event of a Lets Go Management promotions in the Exhibition Centre, Liverpool.
The unbeaten powerhouses clash for the vacant IBO World featherweight title, in what's set to be an explosive bill-topper.
The headliners are joined by a host of British talent, including local fighters Jack Turner (9-0, 8KO), James Metcalf (25-2, 15KO), Boma Brown (5-0, 3KO), and Lucas Biswana (1-0).
Dayan Gonzalez vs Wira Mikham
The main event features two unbeaten heavy-hitters.
Dayan Gonzalez, 25, from Havana, Cuba, boasts an undefeated record and an 86.67% KO ratio.
Gonzalez's last three bouts have all ended via second-round KO. The featherweight prospect is based in Dubai.
Wira Mikham, 27 from Thailand, has scored five knockouts from his last six outings. He has collected the WBC International Silver featherweight title, the same belt Dennis McCann won in 2022 against James Beech Jr., and he became the national Thai featherweight champion in just his fourth fight.
The IBO belt up for grabs has formerly been held by the likes of Paul Ingle, Marco Antonio Barrera, Prince Naseem, and Jazza Dickens.
Their unbeaten records will inspire confidence and their punching power should provide fireworks for the top of the bill showstopper.
Everton Red Triangle
Everton Red Triangle gym's two newest recruits also appear on the bumper bill - heavyweight Boma Brown and welterweight Lucas Biswana.
Originally from London, unbeaten heavyweight Boma Brown joined trainer Paul Stevenson's ERT gym in July 2022. The 29-year-old 'Bomber' has since recorded five victories, with three knockouts.
Trainer Paul Stevenson has recognised the depth of talent in the British heavyweight scene right now, with the likes of Fabio Wardley, Moses Itauma, Johnny Fisher and Solomon Dacres all above him in the rankings, but has declared their intentions to push for titles in 2025.
20-year-old Lucas Biswana is the latest to turn pro in the century-old Triangle gym. The youngster won the ABAs with six wins, four knockouts – three in the first round. Stevenson described him as "very powerful and a quick learner".

Undercard
Liverpool's Jack Turner, 22, is due to take part in his first 10-round contest after stopping all but one of his opponents within 19 months as a professional puncher. The hot talent scored six successive first-round knockouts within his first years in the paid ranks.
Salford's 'Super' Alex Murphy (11-0) meets Manchester's Dan Booth (6-6, 3KO), whose last two wins came by knockout. 22-year-old Murphy is stepping up to eight-rounds for the first time in his three-year-long pro career.
Another Liverpool local, James Metcalf, is in action. 'Kid Shamrock' won the IBO World super-welterweight title against the experienced 'Dennis 'Hurricane' Hogan in his last fight, but has been out of the ring for 19 months since. JJ faces Argentine Alan Sebastian Velazquez (4-20-1, 1KO).
Undefeated super-middleweight Tom Rafferty (12-0, 4KO) has another six-round contest, as the 27-year-old talent from Shaw looks to enter 2025 with an impressive record to push on to titles with. He meets Poland's Mateusz Pawlowski (2-3, 1KO).
The stacked card also features Morecombe's unbeaten super-featherweight southpaw Nelson Birchall (6-0, 3KO); Cork's Steven Cairns (9-0, 5KO); Cheshire's super-middleweight Jack Power (3, 1KO); former Welsh Area middleweight champ Gerome Warburton (14-1, 2KO), and Manchester's Alfie Middlemiss, 21, makes his pro debut.
