Turki Alalshikh names five fights he intends to make in 2025

His Excellency Turki Alalshikh has revealed his wish list for 2025, which includes 50% of British boxers.

The 43-year-old from Saudi Arabia has transformed the sport of boxing in the past couple of years with his ambition and the endless wealth at his disposal. Turki has been able to put together the biggest fights in boxing with his resources, which would otherwise have been trickier to make when trying to balance the books.

British promoters Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn have formed an alliance under Turki Alalshikh when they previously butted heads and argued over the making of fights. Their new relationship has seen the event Matchroom-Queensberry 5 vs 5 take place in June 2024, which was a huge success, and one that fight fans are keen to see many more of.

Now, Turki has revealed his biggest five fights he wants to make in 2025, and many on the list are deep into negotiations already, which means his wishes are already beginning to come true.

Saul Alvarez vs Terence Crawford is reportedly in talks already, targeted for May 25.

Oleksandr Usyk agreed to fight Daniel Dubois again when confronted by the Londoner straight after his rematch win over Tyson Fury in December. Whether this materialises or not is yet to be seen.

Tyson Fury yesterday announced his retirement from boxing in a video message posted online, however, in a poll from Sky Sports Boxing, 86% of fight fans didn't believe the news to be true. Fury has retired more than once before, so his latest announcement has been met with a lot of distrust.

Even Eddie Hearn said that if he wanted more money for his next fight, he would announce his retirement too, suggesting that Fury is just playing games and will sign the contract to fight his long-term rival Anthony Joshua in a stadium fight in the summer.

Ryan Garcia has served his one-year ban from boxing following failed drug tests after he defeated Devin Haney on points in April 2024, a result that was subsequently overturned to a No Contest. Haney is presently demanding 365 drug testing for a potential rematch, which Garcia is unlikely to agree to due to its intrusive nature.
