Tommy Fury ripped and ready for comeback fight

Tommy Fury (10-1, 4 KOs) has shown the world exactly how he looks as a cruiserweight, just one day ahead of his comeback fight against Kenan Hanjalic (5-1, 4 KOs) in Hungary.

The 200-pounders meet this Friday, May 9, over six-rounds at cruiserweight at the MTK Arena in Budapest.

'TNT' Tommy was pictured looking sculptured and strong on the day of the weigh-in. The Manchester man has weighed in as high as 189lbs before, but appears to be bigger and stronger than ever.

The 26-year-old is ripped and ready for his first fight in 19 months, but it's actually his first serious professional fight in over three years.

It was way back in April 2022 when the up-and-coming light-heavyweight prospect dropped and defeated Daniel Bocianski in Wembley, on the undercard of his older brother Tyson's WBC heavyweight title defence to Dillian Whyte.

After that, the reality TV star opted to fight two YouTubers, Jake Paul and KSI, beating both on points in very scrappy affairs with a significant lack of boxing skill and entertainment on display. This was before he fought Rolly Lambert in exhibition bout in Dubai that ended with the crowd booing heavily.

It appeared that his boxing career was heading in a different direction to one of an ambitious fighter hungry for titles and legacy, but his next opponent suggests that he is back on track again.

His 27-year-old opponent has lost just once, against a 6-0 unbeaten Cuban, who is now a WBC Mediterranean heavyweight champion.

Four of Hanjalic's five victories have come by knockout - two in round one. In his third pro fight, he needed just 55 seconds to KO his opponent.

The Bosnian fought in over 100 amateur bouts, so can draw upon a wealth of experience. He trains with his coach, Adnan Redzevic, at the Gladiator Club Sarajevo.

The ambitious young fighter has already warned Tommy Fury that "names don't win fights".

For Fury, he will need to produce an impressive performance to send a message to the rest of the cruiserweight class, which is currently packed in talent in the UK, with the likes of British champion Viddal Riley, former world champ Chris Billam-Smith, Jack Massey, Cheavon Clarke, Isaac Chamberlain, Aloys Junior, and many more.
