Naoya Inoue vs Luis Nery undisputed fight night from the Tokyo Dome

Result: Inoue climbs off the canvas wins by KO in round six.

R1: Drama from the first round as Inoue just hung around in the pocket for too long, resulting in absorming a huge left hook on the inside from Nery to drop him for the first time in his career. Nery came bounding forward but the champion was able to evade almost all the attacks to survive to the second round.

R2: Nery looking strong from the second round too, clearly high in confidence. Inoue looking just a little suprised still. Then came even more drama, as Nery recklessly came forward throwing shots Inoue skipped backwards and landed a lovely counter catch hook left to floor Nery this time.

R3: Slightly less action in the third, both men respectful of each other's power and strength. They end the round with their hands down, working each other out, patient but also somewhat unwilling to risk too much.

R4: Nery on the front foot backing Inoue up to the corner, where he absorbs big backhand lefts on his guard, then rolls under to escape the ropes. Inoue then fires back strongly in the centre, targeting the body more this round with swiping left hooks. Best shot of the round was a straight right flush on the face from Inoue.

R5: Inoue is in full flow, scoring another knockdown after two chopping left hooks to the head in close. Nery was closing the gap trying t turn the fight into a brawl and paid the price when he was outmanoeuvred on the inside. Nery survived the final 20 seconds to make it to round six. But Inoue is looking strong and has gradually broken his opponent down.

R6: Inoue scores a third and final knockdown to win the thrilling fight. Backed up to the ropes, Inoue throws a right uppercut followed by a right hook to leave the challenger crumpled in the corner. After the fight, the pound-for-pound great said he would back to fight in September.

Result: Challenger Yoshiki Takei got off a good start, creating a deficit that the champion, Jason Moloney, couldn't overcome despite coming on strong late. The final round was a thrilling back-and-forth shootout, with "Mayhem" Moloney down his utmost to score a knockout that he so badly needed to retain his title, but instead the final bell chimed for Takei to win unanimously with scores of 117-110 and 116-111 twice. Tokyo's Takei has become the WBO World bantamweght champion in just his ninth pro fight.

Result: Irish-born Aussie TJ Doheny landed a clever combination to win by TKO in round four. The former world champion iremains unbeaten in Japan, having fought four times there, this latest win being his third in a row in Tokyo.
