Naoya Inoue will fight in May and September this year
Japanese superstar Nayoa Inoue (29-0, 26KO) will fight on May 4th in Las Vegas against Ramon Cardenas.
Then, on September 14th, his next proposed opponent will be Murodjon Akhmadaliev in Tokyo, providing he retains his undisputed super-bantamweight championships.

Cardenas is the top-rated super-bantamweight in the WBA world rankings at #2 and placed at #9 by Ring Magazine.
29 from San Antonio, the Texan is promoted by Hall of Famer Sampson Lewkowicz, the man responsible for Manny Pacquiao's career.
In his last fight, "Dinamita" handed Bryan Acosta with his first defeat by securing a unanimous decision win in a close fight to retain his WBA Continental Latin America super-bantamweight title.
His only defeat came eight years ago, in 2017, narrowly edged out on a mixed decision over 10-rounds to Danny Flores in Mexico.
On the same Cinco de Mayo weekend, Canelo also fights in an undisputed clash, against the IBF world super-middleweight champion, William Scull.

Naoya Inoue vs Murodjon Akhmadaliev
Murodjon Akhmadaliev is the reigning WBA interim super-bantamweight champion, ranked #2 in the Ring Magazine ratings.
Akhmadaliev was an outstanding amateur, winning a silver medal in the 2015 World amateur championships, followed by a bronze at the 2016 Olympic Games.
He won his first title just four fights and five months into his pro career, then was crowned WBA Super and IBF world super-bantamweight champion in fight number eight.
He defended those belts three times before losing them to Marlon Tapales, who went on to lose them in his next fight to Inoue.
He has since win two on the spin by knockout, culminating in claiming the WBA interim title in his last fight in December.
