Tim Rickson, GBN Editor: "Mayer is on not just on a great run right now, she has consistently proven herself throughout her nine-year-long pro career. Her two losses were split decisions, to Alycia Baumgardner and Natasha Jonas, so she did herself proud in both defeats, then two back-to-back wins over the incredible Sandy Ryan were career highlights.

"Chantelle has had just one defeat to Katie Taylor to make their rivalry one apiece. Cameron won their first fight clearly despite it being scored a mixed decision, then Taylor edged the rematch. She has been unlucky with a but of inactivity, but she has gone on a four-fight winning streak, picking up and defending the WBC Interim super-welterweight title, and now she brings the WBO belt into this unification after winning it in her last fight in April.

"On paper, it's a 50-50 contest. As a Brit, I'm going to be supporting Chantelle Cameron, who I have also met and interviewed before. But, as a fan, I'm also backing "Wham Bam" because she is just so strong and relentless and will not stop throwing until the final bell. Back training with Jamie Moore, who knows her so well, they will be formidable together and if it comes down to a war of attrition, then there's no one else I would back over Cameron to come out on top. I'm picking Cameron to win on points, possibly on a split or mixed decision. But Mayer is desperate for a win in the UK, so she will be at her absolute best, so I wouldn't rule out a draw either."
