Giorgio Isaila vs Abdul Utmanzai has been confirmed for September 19

Giorgio "Dracula" Isaila (10-0, 6 KOs) will face Belgian title contender Abdul Utmanzai (7-2, 2 KOs) on September 19 in Camden Town.

The pair will clash over eight rounds at super-lightweight, as Isaila plans an assault on titles this year. The 'Ballroom Blitz' event held at the Electric Ballroom in Camden Town, London, is promoted by Warren Boxing Management.

Isaila signed with Francis Warren in July, with the promotions stating that their new charge is going to make a statement in their first fight together. WBM also stated that their chosen match is a dangerous contender.

25 from Brugge, Utmanzai has only lost in title fights. Trained by Jon Durrant in Kings Cross, London, the Kabul-born Belgian national challenged for the Belgian super-lightweight title in 2025, but was dropped and stopped in the seventh stanza of his maiden title challenge.

In February this year, the ambitious boxer jumped up two weights to contest the BeNeLux super-welterweight belt, but was decisioned unanimously by Belgian welterweight champion Anthony Loffet.

He has since bounced back with a six-rounds points win in June. His last three fights were all held in different divisions - super-lightweight (140lbs), welterweight (147lbs), super-welterweight (154lbs).

In the home corner on fight night stands 25-year-old Londoner Giorgio Isaila, nicknamed "Dracula" for his Romanian roots. Giorgio was born in 2001 in Suceava, Romania, but came to England in his late teens and took up boxing soon after.

The talented youngster started boxing late, but won a Senior ABA title and left the amateur scene with an impressive record of 17-3.

Trained by former British champion Matt Marsh, Isaila is eyeing the Southern Area super-lightweight title in 2026.

The undefeated rising star will need to deliver a statement win in September if he wants to position himself for a Southern Area title shot. His 11th pro contest will also serve as his first time moving up to eight-rounds.

"I’m excited, it’s been long time coming and I’ve been ready for step ups for a while now," Isaila enthused. "This is my time to shine and prove that I deserve everything, so it feels great and I’m ready for the eight rounds."

He added, "Not sure if I’ll get to do all eight rounds because I feel too sharp already! Can't feel that he will last the full eight rounds with me."

If Giorgio emerges victorious then his next fight could be for a title.

The former Southern Area titleholder at super-lightweight was Aaron Prospere, who has since moved up a level to capture the English strap last month.
