Fabio Wardley now faces Justus Huni after Jarrell Miller withdrawal

Unbeaten Brit Fabio Wardley (18-0-1, 17 KOs) will now face Australian Justis Huni (12-0, 7 KOs) at Ipswich Town's Portman Road stadium on Saturday June 7.

It was announced on April 30 that the American had pulled out of the fight with Wardley citing an injury.

Wardley is ranked WBA #1 and Huni is the WBO #1, so this match pits to No.1 contenders against each other in what is believed to be a 5-50 fight.

30-year-old Wardley is coming into the fight following a first-round destruction of Olympian Frazer Clarke in their October 2024 rematch. He defended his British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles with the victory.

The replacement opponent, Huni, was last in action in January in Broadbeach, Australia. The 26-year-old defended his WBO Global heavyweight belt with a second round stoppage over South African Shaun Potgieter.

Also announced on the event is the eagerly-awaited rematch between Sam Gilley and Louis Greene for the British and Commonwealth super-welterweight titles.

Medway's Greene was the Commonwealth champ until he lost the strap in a unanimous decision reverse to Londoner Gilley an a terrific fight in 2023.

Greene only fought once in 2024, in March, when he surprised an upset in Saudi Arabia by stopping top prospect Jack McGann in 89 seconds on the Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou undercard. 

Gilley also defeated McGann by knockout, in round four of their October 2024 fight at the York Hall.

Paris 2024 Olympian Lewis Richardson makes his pro debut on the card.
