Chantelle Cameron reveals she will face Jessica Camara on July 11 in MVP debut
Chantelle Cameron vs Jessica Camara, Savannah Marshall vs Shadasia Green, and Ramla Ali vs Lila Furtado will all take place on the historic July 11 card at Madison Square Garden, MVP announced today.
Chantelle Cameron defends her WBC Interim super-lightweight to Canadian challenger Jessica Camara on Friday, July 11 in New York, at the historic Madison Square Garden, live on Netflix.
On the same night, fellow Brit Savannah Marshall takes on MVP's first homegrown champion Shadasia Green in a super-middleweight unification; and Somalian-born British national Ramla Ali meets Brazil's Lila Furtado in clash at bantamweight.

Now training with Stephen Smith, Chantelle Cameron is enjoying a new lease of live under the banner of Most Valuable Promotions, eager to get back into the biggest fights.
The former undisputed super-lightweight champion was left frustrated after she couldn't secure the trilogy decider with Katie Taylor, scored at one apiece, so Queensberry Promotions helped broker the new deal to join MVP.
In the 34-year-old's first assignment for the groundbreaking promotions, Northampton's Cameron faces the challenge of Ontario's Jessica Camara, a former WBA Gold lightweight champion.
Camara's biggest career win to date came against the previously unbeaten former two-weight world champion Choi Hyun-mi to claim the vacant WBA female lightweight Gold title by split decision at Ajou University, Suwon, South Korea in April 2024.
She then challenged WBC and IBO female lightweight champion Caroline Dubois in Sheffield on 11th January 2025, but unfortunately the fight ended prematurely in a technical draw at the start of round three on the orders of the ringside doctor after Camara suffered a cut to her left eye caused by an accidental clash of heads.
“Sharing the ring with a champion like Chantelle Cameron is an honour,” exclaimed Camara. “I’m locked in, focused, and ready to leave it all in the ring.”
Cameron commented, “To box at Madison Square Garden in New York is a dream come true for me, and the fact that I’m facing a good opponent will bring out the best in me. July 11 is a huge night of female boxing from MVP and I’m honoured to be part of it.”
Savannah Marshall vs Shadasia Green
Savannah Marshall is another new signing to MVP, whereas Shadasia Green has become a WBO super-middleweight champion under their management.
“Defending my IBF and Ring Magazine belt in a unification fight with Shadasia Green, on an all-women’s card such as this, is a great way to start my new journey with MVP,” said Marshall. “There are so many great women on one show at the iconic Madison Square Garden, and I’m beaming that I can play my part in it. Cannot wait for Friday, July 11th.”
“I am really excited about fighting Savannah Marshall, who has accomplished a lot in the sport,” said the 35-year-old Green. “We are two hard-punching world champions who will put everything on the line. I’m looking forward to putting on a great show, and I’m certain that Marshall will bring the best out of me on Friday, July 11.”
Ramla Ali vs Lila Furtado
35-year-old Ramla Ali of England via Somalia takes on Brazilian Lila Furtado, 33-years-old.
It will have been little over a year since Ali lost a decision to Yamileth Mercado of Mexico and she said, “After taking time to refine my skills and recalibrate my approach, I feel stronger and more focused than ever. This past year away from competition has been challenging but necessary – it’s reignited the fire that first drew me to boxing. Working with John Ryder and Tony Sims has completely transformed my approach to the sport, and their combined expertise has helped me develop as a fighter.”
Furtado defeated her compatriot Gisele Libanio in December, and she said, “I’m training very hard for this fight with Ramla, as I know this fight can give me the keys to more opportunities with MVP. I’m training with world-level fighters in Brazil, preparing very hard. I’m excited to have the opportunity, and I will give everything to get this victory for myself, but also for my country.”
