IBF #10 Juergen Uldedaj fights on the Joyce-Hrgovic card

Juergen Uldedaj (19-1, 8KOs) clashes with Gerardo Mellado (12-3, 7KOs) on the Joyce vs Hrgovic card on April 5 at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, live on DAZN.

Uldedaj and Mellado will lock horns over 10-rounds at cruiserweight in a non-title fight, with all the action from the 'Heavy Impact' card beginning from 7pm.

Juergen Uldedaj is the current IBF International cruiserweight champion, ranked #10 in the world.

The 27-year-old from Lehze, Albania, has been boxing in Germany for a long time, where he became a WBC junior world champion in 2018, an IBO Mediterranean champion, IBF International champion, and WBA Continental cruiserweight champion.

Standing at 6' 1½", the once-beaten cruiserweight has a large fan base and is a sporting superstar in Albania.

His opponent is the reigning Chilean cruiserweight champion and has lost just once from his last seven outings, including five knockout wins.

The heavy-handed Chilean combatant is 32 and ranked #1 in his country at 200lbs.

Juergen Uldedaj has won his last two bouts by knockout and Gerardo Mellado's last four victories have all ended early within four rounds, so this is set to be an explosive encounter.

Joyce and Hrgovic occupy the main event, which sees the home fighter as the underdog and the visitor as the favourite.

Big-hitters David Adeleye and Jeamie TKV clash for the British heavyweight title on the undercard also.

The action starts on DAZN from 7pm.
