Zhankosh Turarov thrills in historic night of boxing in Kazakhstan

Zhankosh Turarov (24-0) lit up the packed Barys Arena with a brutal finish of Mauro Maximiliano Godoy (31-4-1) in just three rounds and pushed himself firmly up the world rankings in the process.

The undefeated Oubaali cemented his claims to be the best bantamweight on the planet by defending his WBC world title with a destructive six-round stoppage of Arthur Villanueva.

Kotochigov was also in impressive form in outpointing Jairo Lopez for the WBC lightweight crown and there were pleasing wins for the likes of Davey Oliver Joyce, Sultan Zaurbek, Nurtas Azhbenov, Ali Baloyev, Abay Tolesh, Abilkhaiyr Shegaliyev, Hasibullah Ahmadi.
