Yesibolati Sailike wins WBC title in the Far East

Yesibolati Sailike crowned WBC Far East Silver champion

Chinese boxer Yesibolat Sailike (7-2, 3 KOs) is the new World Boxing Council Far East Silver super-welterweight champion following an impressive victory on home soil.

Yesibolat captured the coveted WBC title after securing a unanimous points decision over Filipino challenger Allie Malinao Canega (13-4-1, 8 KOs) at the Boxing Gala event in Xian Jiang, China.

After a competitive championship encounter, Sailike dropping Canega in the third round, all three judges awarded the contest to the Chinese boxer - scored  100-89, 99-90, 99-90 - confirming his rise to WBC Far East Silver champion.

Sailike lost his pro debut in 2017 after being deducted points, then he returned to boxing over five years later with a renewed ambition and plan. He won five in a row, then lost in his first fight abroad in Kazakhstan against 7-0 Alisher Abdulalim, which was also his first time stepping up to 10-rounds.

He has won his next two fights in June and September and is now enjoying his first pro title.
