Osleys Iglesias (15-0, 14 KOs) has reigned as IBO world super-middleweight champ for almost four years now, yet he only became known to worldwide boxing fans when he was mandated to fight Mexican megastar Canelo for the IBF crown.

Instead, he fought and defeated Pavel Silyagin in eight rounds in Quebec to win his second world title.

With only 15 fights to his name, all outside the U.S., Iglesias hasn’t fought in front of a big enough audience to have established his name yet, so GBN found out some interesting facts about the rising star below.

Who is Osleys Iglesias?

Osleys Iglesias was born December 12, 1997, in Havana, Cuba, and is currently 28-years-old.

As an amateur, he won four silver medals at middleweight in the Cuban National Championships between 2015 to 2018.

His amateur record is listed at 184 wins – 16 losses.

He is promoted by Camille Estephan of Eye of the Tiger Management and trained by Marc Ramsay in Montreal, Canada.

Osleys lives and trains in Berlin, Germany.

He became the IBO world super-middleweight champion in December 2022 and has made five successful defences over three years - all by KO.

He has also won WBA Inter-Continental, IBO International, IBO Youth titles at super-middleweight.

Osleys has a 93.33% KO ratio after stopping 14 of his 15 foes. He has only boxed in 59 rounds of a scheduled 152, averaging a knockout every 3.64 rounds.

Nine of his KOs have come within rounds one and two.

He has fought in Poland x5 / Germany x4 / Canada x6.

His career-best win came against Vladimir Shishkin in an IBF eliminator in September 2025. Osleys knocked the highly-regarded Russian out in the eighth round.
