Sardinia is set to host one of the most prestigious boxing events of the year

WBC International bridgerweight title on the line in Sardinia
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the beautiful Piazza Pietro Addis in Trinità d’Agultu e Vignola will stage an international professional boxing event promoted by A&B Events and Team Magnesi, led by promoter Alessandra Branco, in collaboration with Team Gigliotti and Shardana Boxe.
The main event will feature the WBC International Bridgerweight Championship, contested by two world-ranked cruiserweights aiming to strengthen their position on the road to a future world title opportunity.
Representing Italy is Jonathan Kogasso (19-0, 11 KOs), the reigning EBU Silver Cruiserweight Champion, former Italian Champion and former WBC Mediterranean Champion.
Currently ranked #25 in the WBC Cruiserweight world rankings, Kogasso has established himself as one of Europe’s fastest-rising talents through an impressive run of victories and title successes.
Standing across the ring will be Kevin Cristopher Ramirez (12-0-2, 4 KOs) of Argentina, currently #12 in the WBC Cruiserweight rankings and winner of the prestigious WBC Boxing Grand Prix in Riyadh, a tournament featuring many of the world’s most promising Cruiserweight contenders. To win the inaugural competition, he defeated five opponents with a combined record of 51-1.
26-year-old Ramirez arrives in Sardinia determined to confirm his place among the division’s elite.
Although the title at stake belongs to the Bridgerweight division, both fighters are building their careers as Cruiserweights.
Victory on September 19 would represent a significant milestone in their progression through the WBC Cruiserweight rankings, bringing the winner one step closer to major world championship opportunities.
Beyond the sporting significance, the event will also showcase Sardinia as a destination capable of hosting international sporting events, combining world-class boxing with one of Italy’s most spectacular locations.
On September 19, Trinità d’Agultu e Vignola will become the stage for world-class boxing, welcoming two top-ranked undefeated fighters in a high-stakes clash that promises excitement for fans from Italy and around the globe.
