Wanheng Menayothin will defend WBC strawweight title to compatriot Panya Pradabsri

Menayothin and Pradabsri will clash for green and gold belt

On November 27 in Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, the straw weight champion of the World Boxing Council, Wanheng Menayothin of Thailand, will face his compatriot Panya Pradabsri.

Menayothin is a champion who has had a close relationship with the WBC, ever since the beginning of his career.

He won the Youth straw world title in March 2007, successfully defending it 8 times, subsequently winning the WBC international title in December 2009, making 12 successful defenses. The moment of his consecration as the straw weight champion, came on November 6, 2014, when he conquered the world crown of the WBC.

Recently, rumours spread that he was retiring, but fortunately they were unfounded.

For his part, Pradabsri is the current WBC Asia champion and has held the OPBF crown in the strawweight division. He is a fast and hungry fighter, who is sure to pose a dangerous and highly credible challenge to the reigning world champion.
