Unbeaten light-heavyweights Dylan “The Winter Soldier” Winter and Craig Medlan clash for West Australia State title

February 26th will mark the date of the return of an Australian institution, The THUNDERDOME boxing series based out of Metro City in Perth, Western Australia.

The co feature will mark the return of two of Australias leading prospects Dylan “The Winter Soldier” Winter (3-0, 1KOs) in his first title challenge as he takes on “ Medzy” Craig Medlan (3-0, 1KOs) for the West Australia State Light Heavyweight Title over eight rounds.

Perth puncher Medlan discussed his first title shot, “It’s a great match up, it is going to be a tough fight.

“Training is going well with the “6 Million Dollar Man” Glen Austin, I'm putting in the work and one thing for certain is it’s going to be a long summer night for Mr. Winter.”

Winter has never faced an opponent with a losing record, combined his trio of challengers have a record of 4-2. The light-heavyweight opened up on his upcoming title challenge, “I think the fight is gonna' be tough and one that people do not want to miss. He is a big puncher and so am I, so that makes for a very entertaining fight.

“The training is going really well coming along nicely I’ll be ready come Feb 26th.

“Medlan, bring the best version of yourself because that is exactly what I want, and let’s put on a show!

There's another West Australian State title clash on the card as super-welterweights Wes Capper (21-4-1) and Fano Kori (7-4, 4KOs) meet over eight rounds.

Once-beaten super-featherweight prospect Jackson England (12-1, 4KOs) headlines against Richard Lockett (3-1, 2KOs) in the main event.

Perth's Lockett went straight into an eight-rounder with then 4-0 England in 2018, suprising everyone with an unforeseen split decision victory over the unbeaten prospect, so it's a chance for revenge for the 23-year-old who has collected Australian featherweight and WBC Asian Boxing Council Silver super-featherweight titles since then. Lockett has knocked out his last two opponents in 2019, so will be coming into the contest with the utmost confidence.
