George Groves feels one man will find it easy in upcoming Tyson Fury-Oleksandr Usyk showdown

February’s ‘Ring of Fire’ card will undoubtedly go down as one of the most hotly anticipated events in boxing history, as Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) and Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) are placing it all on the line in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. February 17 will mark the date that millions tuned in to see one man crowned as the first four-belt undisputed champion in the heavyweight division.

Tyson Fury is the bookie's favourite as we edge ever closer to the titanic matchup. His size and reach are expected to prove tricky for the Ukrainian, who could struggle to land anything meaningful against a fighter who has mastered the art of working on the outside.

While Fury may be the favourite, it's never going to be a walk in the park for ‘The Gypsy King’. The 35-year-old put up a lacklustre performance against Francis Ngannou in October, prompting a growing number of fans to question whether the Mancunian still has what it takes to beat boxings best.

One man who believes the fight is Usyk’s to lose is former supermiddleweight champion George Groves.

Speaking to Grosvenor Sport, Groves expanded on why he feels the Ukrainian will leave the ring as the king of the heavyweights.

“I think Usyk wins, I think he's in better form, I know people are attacking him a bit for the Dubois performance, but I thought he was very, very good. Usyk was in full control and stopped him.

"Usyk will take Fury out of his comfort zone, Fury's a big unit and he carries a lot of weight and if Usyk makes him work harder than he used to then it's going to be a tough night for him.

“Usyk builds into a fight and each round he cranks it up. I think he's in better form, I'm going against the natural size of Fury, and I'm picking Usyk. I think he wins quite comfortably.”

There’s not long to go until one man will finally rule it all. While it could be short-lived due to a lack of cooperation from the IBF, the upcoming evening in Riyadh will see one man etched into the heavyweight history books.
