Two WBC titles on the line at Kings of Kombat 35 event in Australia

WBC titles feature in Kings of Kombat 35 anniversary event

The event, organized by Ultimate Promotions, will celebrate its 15th anniversary on Saturday, November 8, at the Malvern Town Hall in Victoria, Australia. The card will feature two bouts sanctioned by the WBC.

Karim Maatalla (10-2, 10 KOs) vs Stanley Johnson (7-1, 5 KOs)

Both fighters will square off for the WBC Australasia Cruiserweight Title.

Italian-born Karim 'The Moroccan Mauler' Maatalla, 28 from Melbourne, enters the fight in good form since moving up to cruiserweight in Australia.

His two defeats came in his pro debut in 2021, then when he stepped up against world title contender David Nyika in 2022. All 10 of his wins have come via KO within three rounds.

American Stanley 'KiD Muscle' Johnson, 33, from New Orleans, has just one single defeat on his record since turning pro in 2023.

He comes in as the visiting fighter looking to make his mark on the Australasian regional scene, and with five KOs from seven bouts, he will be a dangerous opponent.

The bout holds importance for Maatalla, as a step toward international recognition; and for Johnson, as an opportunity to break into a broader WBC platform.

Jordan Roesler (7-0, 1 KO) vs Saipaier Rouzi (6-0-1, 5 KOs)

In another featured matchup, rising prospects Jordan 'The Real Deal' Roesler and China's unbeaten Rouzi will battle for the WBC Youth World Light Heavyweight Title.

Fighting at home in Melbourne, 23-year-old Roesler carries a slight hometown edge, while Rouzi, 20 from Shenzhen, arrives undefeated and eager to claim international honours.

The fight promises high tension and intensity.
