Munguía, 27 years old, with a record of 43-0, 34 knockouts, and former 154-pound world champion, arrives reinforced with a focused determination to become a Superstar. The fight takes place within the dateline  of the Cinco de Mayo celebrations at the iconic T-Mobile Arena

Saul “Canelo” Álvarez debuted in 2005 and has built a career crammed with the distinction of triumph. He has conquered the super welterweight, middleweight, super middleweight and light heavyweight divisions.

Jaime Munguia comes to this fight, with his heart set upon becoming  the undisputed champion at 168 pounds.

CANELO Facts

Canelo translates to Cinnamon, the colour of his hair.

All six of Canelo’s brothers are boxers. They established a Guinness Record by fighting  on the same card, on the same night!

Saul's eldest daughter is called Emily Cinnamon Álvarez, since Canelo decided to name her after his ring moniker.

He is the first undisputed Mexican world champion in boxing history.
