2020 Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame list revealed but Induction postponed until next year

The Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame announces the postponement of its 2020 induction weekend until the summer of 2021.

The severity of the health crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic caused the President and CEO of Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame (NVBHOF) Michelle Corrales-Lewis to make the official announcement. The eighth annual weekend show had been scheduled for August 7 and 8 at the Red Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.

“We waited as long as possible before making this difficult decision. Our induction weekend features numerous events that have proximity issues for boxing fans with honorees. Hundreds of fans mingle with our amateurs, champions and celebrities where the handshaking, hugging, taking pictures, signing autographs, and affected dinners are all part of the experience. We don’t want to reduce the quality and excitement of the weekend for our members, and we don’t want to jeopardize health of anyone due to the nature of our event,” said Michelle Corrales-Lewis.

The 2020 Class of Honorees will be complemented by members of 2021, celebrating a spectacular event in NVBHOF history, next summer.
