Serhii Bohachuk set for Brandon Adams rematch as part of Canelo-Crawford showdown

Canelo Alvarez and Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford are set to clash in what will be a mammoth meeting on September 13 at the Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas.
The Canelo-Crawford fight looks set to pack a punch, and fortunately for fans, the undercard is shaping up to be every bit as entertaining.
Sitting atop the preliminary undercard, Serhii Bohachuk (26-2, 24 KOs) and Brandon Adams (25-4, 16 KOs) are set to finally run back their 2021 meeting as part of the Zuffa Boxing event.
The rematch is scheduled for 10 rounds and will be contested at 156 pounds catchweight, taking place on a much larger stage than the pair's maiden voyage, which was contested in an empty arena during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Adams won the maiden battle between the pair, when - whilst trailing on all three scorecards - the American found an eighth-round stoppage as a phenomenal lead left hook landed flush on his unbeaten opponent's chin.
Bohachuck has since rebounded well from his defeat, enjoying far more ring success than his counterpart. Despite a loss to Vergil Ortiz in 2024, the Ukrainian has built up quite the resume, with impressive wins over the likes of Brian Mendoza and Ishmael Davis.
Speaking on the matchup during an Instagram livestream, promoter Dana White couldn’t hide his excitement at the prospect of these two sharing the stage once more.
“This is a rematch of a badass fight between the two,” White stated.“Literally, Adams had to win the fight by knockout and he did.”
This enticing matchup was one of only six fights recently announced as part of the events' stacked preliminary card:
- Ivan Dychko (15-0, 14 KOs) vs. Jermaine Franklin (23-2, 15 KOs) – 10-round heavyweight.
- Reito Tsutsumi (2-0, 1 KO, Japan) vs. Javier Martinez (7-2, 4 KOs) – 6-round super featherweight.
- Steven Nelson (20-1, 16 KOs, Omaha) vs. Raiko Santana (12-4, 6 KOs) – super middleweight.
- Sultan Almohamed (17-year-old prospect) vs. Martin Caraballo (0-0-1) – 4-round junior welterweight.
- Marco Verde (2-0, 1 KO, Mexico) vs. TBA – 6-round super middleweight.
