Ryan Garcia faces Romero Duno on Canelo-Kovalev undercard

Ryan Garcia faces Romero Duno for the WBC Silver lightweight title

This Saturday, in support of the fight “Canelo vs. Kovalev”, Ryan “Kingry” Garcia (18-0, 15 KOs) and “Ruthless” Romero Duno (21-1, 16 KOs), will dispute the lightweight Silver title of the World Boxing Council.

It'll be the 21-year-old star's fifth title fight, having already won the NABF belt at super-featherweight and the WBO NABO super-featherweight title.

His Filipino opponent, who also resides in LA, like Garcia, has won the same WBO NABO belt, but at lightweight, which he is putting on the line here in his 22nd bout.

After a public training they held, both commented:

Ryan Garcia:

“I feel good. I feel fast, power, everything has gone well. My main goal is to win and get the WBC Silver title. I’m sure it will be a great fight.”

Romero Duno:

“I feel excited for this fight and for being here in Las Vegas. I’m sure Ryan and I will have a war next Saturday.”
