Manny Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 KO’s) plans to take his promotional company stateside in a huge business move.

Pacquiao, who is regarded as one of the greatest pound-for-pound fighters of all time, has enjoyed a glittering career as a professional, and his latest move looks to continue his array of business and political endeavours outside of professional fighting.

Rebranding his promotional company to Manny Pacquiao Promotions (MPP), the 46-year-old is hoping to capture the US boxing market.

“It is an honour to bring Manny Pacquiao Promotions to the U.S.,” the Filipino boxing icon said in a recent press release.

“Some of my most unforgettable moments happened inside American rings.

“Now, I want to help create those same moments for today’s fighters.

“Through talent-stacked events and an elite platform, we’ll showcase the rising stars and seasoned warriors ready to capture the world’s attention.”

Pacquaio’s flights on

Despite his age, ‘Pacman’ continues to fight on.

Most recently, he faced off against Mario Barrios for the WBC Welterweight strap. While the fight ended in a majority decision draw, he proved that he still has the minerals to compete at the elite level.

It appears as if his recent outing has given him all the motivation he needs to continue proving that age is just a number.

It has recently been revealed that the almost 47-year-old is in talks to challenge for yet another world title, this time against American Rolando 'Rolly' Romero.

‘We are negotiating and finalising," Pacquiao said about the slated matchup to Filipino media outlets.

In fighting Romero, Pacquiao aims to break his own record, winning back his WBA 147 lbs strap and becoming the oldest welterweight champion of all time. 

(MPP) President Sean Gibbons revealed that despite not getting the result against Barrios, the end goal is still unchanged. 

"The goal is still the same,” Gibbons told World Boxing News.

“The goal remains to break his own record, to make history, to win a welterweight title.

“He wants to be the oldest person to do it at 47 years old. Rolly Romero has the WBA belt, so he is the target.”
