Keith Thurman is extremely keen on Terence Crawford battle at 147 and wants to respond to Manny Pacquiao defeat by eliminating Crawford from welterweight division
Keith Thurman believes that his next fight should be against undefeated Terence Crawford and believes that he can burst back onto the scene after defeat to Manny Pacquiao by handing Crawford his first defeat.
'One Time' has not fought since July 2019, and is looking to make a comeback to the ring as soon as possible, and believes he has what it takes to dismantle Crawford and believes he is less of a threat in the division than Errol Spence Jr.
Reports have suggested that Kell Brook may be the next opponent for Crawford, with the Sheffield fighter confirming that talks are in advanced stage for the bout to take place in America in November, but Thurman believes he is still in contention to face 'Bud' and has urged a contract to be drawn up for his comeback to the ring.
He said to World Boxing News: " “Send the contract, send the contract, send the contract and let me post it on Instagram and sign it live baby, sign it live,” Thurman said, apparently speaking directly to Crawford. “I’ll do my first signing live baby. they don’t know me. Crawford calling me out like that and saying that about me, you don’t know me, man. “You don’t know what kind of contracts I’ve had in my face. I’ve never been presented with a contract with a real fight. that’s petty at the end of the day.”
Frequently linked with Spence Jr, Thurman concluded that a fight with Spence in the near future was unlikely to take place, and insists his sole focus is set on a bout with Crawford.
“Right now, I want Crawford more man, he’s gotten under my skin. “Errol, that’s a timeline issue. I know how the game works, we got the same manager that’s a timeline issue. “This Crawford dude, send me a contract bro, don’t act like I’m going to run from you."
