Mexican Julio César “Rey” Martínez (20-2, 15KO) will defend his WBC flyweight title to unbeaten Venezuelan Angelino “Huracan” Córdova (18-0-1, 12KO) on March 30 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Martínez arrives after defeating the tough Spanish fighter Samuel Carmona, by majority decision, then he defended the title against Ronal Bastista and now he aims for another successful defense against Córdova. He is part of “Team Canelo” and is trained by Eddy Reynoso.

Córdova, who is undefeated as a professional, comes into this fight after defeating Puerto Rican Angel Acosta.

The world championship clash takes place on the same card of Keith Thurman vs. Tim Tszyu and Rolando Romero vs Isaac Cruz.
