Joe Joyce announces release of his debut film

Former WBO Interim world heavyweight champion Joe Joyce has swapped the ring for the big screen after announcing his film debut.

The 41-year-old held the WBO interim heavyweight title from 2022 to 2023, as well as British, Commonwealth and European heavyweight crowns.

However, the Putney puncher has only managed one win in his last six contests and hasn't been a contender for the past four years.

The Juggernaut may have hinted at what his future holds after announcing his movie debut.

Taking to social media, Joyce shared a poster for a new film: "The Fall Guys"

"I’m proud to announce my debut film has been officially selected for the @marbellafilmfestival It’s screening on 8th October at 6рm. Get involved, don’t miss it! @reelsceneuk"

The poster has Joyce front and centre with a grey-tinted filter over the images. On the Marbella Film Festival’s website, it reveals the movie’s runtime is 16 minutes.

Despite this news, Joyce has stated in recent interviews that he plans to continue fighting, believing he still has plenty left to give.
