Joe Cordina and Sky Nicolson bolster an already stacked December Matchroom card

This Matchroom card keeps getting better and better

Joe Cordina (18-1, 9 KO’s) has been revealed as the newest addition to the December 13 card - headlined by Diego Pacheco (24-0, 18 KO’s) and Kevin Lele Sadjo (26-0, 23 KO’s) .

The event, scheduled to take place in Stockton, California, will see the Welshman take on Stockton hero Gabriel Flores Jr (27-2, 8 KO’s).

It will be a tough crowd for Cordina, who is stepping onto his opponent's home turf. The support for Flores Jr. is expected to be huge, with the American a real driver in the events' location choice.

Eddie Hearn - who announced the fight earlier tonight via DAZN - has revealed that the WBO international belt will be on the line, with the winner potentially going on to compete for the WBO lightweight title.

Currently, Abdullah Mason and Sam Noakes are set to clash for the vacant world title on November 22.

Cordina has not been the only name added to the already stacked December card. Aussie fan favourite Skye Nicolson (14-1, 3 KO’s) is also scheduled to continue her comeback in Stockton.

Nicolson - who faced her only defeat via split decision to Tiara Brown in March this year - has since bounced back with two powerful stoppage wins through the summer months.

Nicolson will step into the ring against Yuliahn Luna (28-4-1, 4 KO’s).

A win would push the 30-year-old to within touching distance of a world title comeback, with the victor set to receive the WBC interim belt at super bantamweight.
