Jaron Ennis vs Josh Kelly unification agreed

Trainer Adam Booth confirmed the three-belt unification between Jaron "Boots" Ennis (36-0, 32 KOs) and Josh Kelly (19-1-1, 9 KOs) has been agreed.

The south London trainer said, "We've agreed all the terms and apparently, from what I've been told, so has Boots. We're just waiting for the date," he told Tris Dixon.

The expectation is that it will take place in Atlanta in late November or December.

32-year-old "Pretty Boy Kelly" captured the IBF world super-welterweight crown with a career-best performance against the fearsome Russian Bakhram Murtazaliev in January 2026, even dropping the champion in the fourth round. Kelly also went down himself, in round nine, but managed to win on a mixed decision.

The Sunderland star has already defended his IBF crown to Irishman Caoimhin Agyarko via unanimous decision in July.

"Boots" Ennis is a two-weight world champion, currently undefeated in 37 contests. He has won WBA, IBF and Ring welterweight titles, as well as WBA and WBO super-welterweight belts.

Trained by his father, Bozy Ennis, Jaron is regarded as one of the top 10 pound-for-pound boxers on the planet, promoted by Matchroom Boxing.

It will be Kelly's toughest fight of his pro career, and a fight that will likely be very technical and tense to begin with, until it opens up a little later on. Both boxers are blessed with skill and speed, but "Boots" is certainly the more heavier-handed of the two.
