Jake Paul boasts that he could beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and his father in the same night

The first press conference between Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Jake Paul included the first face-off ahead of their fight on June 28 at the Honda Center in Anaheim California.

Julio Cesar arrived accompanied by his famous father, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr , and Paul had some fanciful boasts ready, claiming that he could handle the pair together, “I could kick both Chavez and Junior’s asses in the same night!”

For his part, Chavez Jr. limited himself to calmly say, “When he was born, I was already champion… It’s going to be a good fight and I’m going to win”.

Julio Cesar Chavez Sr took to the microphone, to acknowledge Paul’s work promoting boxing among the new generations. Likewise, he stated that he sees his son as the winner of the fight.

“He is a young and strong boy, but he hasn’t fought a fighter like my son," the 62-year-old boxing legend said. “How are you going to win a fight without throwing punches?”

Jake Paul added, "This is a former world champion, he has an amazing resume. He's following in his dad's footsteps - coming short, of course. I want to test myself against the best."

28-year-old Jake Paul's latest fight comes seven months on from his high-profile, highly-controversial victory over 58-year-old Mike Tyson, whose last professional fight was 20 years ago in 2005.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has a record of 54-6-1 with 34 knockout victories, while Jake Paul boasts a professional record of 11-1 with 7 KOs.

Paul's sole defeat came at the hands of British boxer, Tommy Fury , who fought and won in Hungary last weekend, then called for the rematch with Paul.

This will be 39-year-old Chavez Jr's second fight within the past three-and-a-half years. The Mexican became a world champion in 2011, when Jake Paul was just 14-years-old.

"The Problem Child" concluded, "I'm going to shock the world again. This is his toughest fight to date. I'm going to embarrass him and make him quit like he always does."
