Jackson England wins WBC Asia Super Featherweight title

England stops Mishra to claim WBC regional glory

Australia’s dominant super-featherweight boxer Jackson England (13-1, 8KOs) continued his winning streak stopping New Zealand challenger Shiva Mishra (7-4, 4KOs) in Perth, on May 26.

Mishra competed strongly in the opening rounds before England captured the vacant WBC Asia Super Featherweight championship, with a TKO round six stoppage, as well as the IBO Oceania-Orient strap too.

New Zealand's Mishra started well winning the first round but by the third he was in trouble being hit with England’s hard body shots.

In rounds four and five England’s combination body punches and upper cuts had Mishra reeling, and the fight ended in round 6 when Mishra could not continue.

Managed by Tony Tolj , former national champion England extended his record to 13 wins, 8 KOs and 1 draw.
