Hughie Fury has sensationally offered to step in and face Joseph Parker just two days before fight night

Breaking news that Daniel Dubois has fallen ill just days before his IBF World heavyweight title defence to Joseph Parker has sparked life into opportunistic heavyweights around the planet.

Tyson Fury's cousin, Hughie, enthused, "I'm training for a fight right now. I am fighting fit, ready to go - and me and Parker have unfinished business.

"If the money is right, I'll be at the airport tomorrow for a first-class flight to Riyadh ready to put on a first-class show for the fans," said Hughie on Thursday evening, just two days before fight night.

Fury and Parker fought in September 2017 for the WBO heavyweight championship. Hughie lost a close, controversial decision to the defending world champion and has wanted a rematch ever since.

Hughie Fury, 30, recently announced he signed an exclusive promotional deal with GBM Sports , the UK's fastest-growing boxing promotion.

He is preparing to compete for GBM on April 4th in London - but GBM promoter, Izzy Asif, who is already in Riyadh, says he will happily let Hughie take the slot against Parker if all sides are agreeable.

"Boxing is about taking opportunities when they are there. Hughie Fury and Joseph Parker have a score to settle from that 2017 world title fight fallout and if they can get it done in the ring this Saturday, what a great story that will be," said Asif.
