Holly McMath and Sarah Higginson set for trilogy finale with WBC belt on the line

Friday the 13th of March, Dragon Fire Boxing hits the Metro City Arena for the first time this year for Thunderdome 53 with a stacked card.

One of the main events features a much-anticipated trilogy decider for the WBC Australasia flyweight championship featuring Ireland's Holly McMath (6-4-1) and Perth's Sarah Higginson (4-7-1, 1 KO).

35-year-old Irish-born Australian McMath and her familiar opponent have already shared two fights together; the first fight was prematurely stopped in round five due to a large cut on the forehead of Higginson, which allowed Holly's hand to be raised to retain her Australasian super-flyweight title.

Seven months later in November 2025, the pair had unfinished business and met again, this time for the same strap but down a division at flyweight. Again, they failed to reach a conclusive ending, with the rivals stuck at a draw.

In their third fight for the WBC Australasia flyweight title, they each hope for a conclusive victory.
