Ema Kozin defeats Chris Namus in Germany

Slovenian Ema Kozin (20-0, 10 KOs) defeated, by unanimous decision over 10-rounds, former Uruguayan world champion Chris Namús (25-6, 8 KOs) , to win the Interim Middleweight World Boxing Council title, this Saturday, October 17, at the “CPI Box Club” in Donauwoerth, Germany.

At the end of the competitive championship contest, the Slovenian prevailed on the judges’ scorecard with points of 98-82, 97-93 and 97-93.

Ema Kozin , 21, wins her first World belt and maintains her unbeaten record of 20 wins.

She was already a two-weight titlist having held the WIBA middleweight title since 2017 and the super-middleweight version since 2018. She is currently ranked as the world's fourth best active female super-middleweight by The Ring Magazine, and sixth best by BoxRec.
