Eddie Hearn's shock Chris Eubank Jr. admission ahead of his career-defining rematch against Conor Benn

Eddie Hearn believes this may be the last dance for Eubank Jr.

Chris Eubank Jr. (35-3, 25 KO’s) and Conor Benn (23-1, 14 KO’s) run it back on Saturday following their instant British classic back in April .

The bout ended with Chris Eubank Jr. being crowned victor after 12 rounds of brutal action.

Despite a successful evening, the 36-year-old found himself being rushed to the hospital after the bout, suffering from severe dehydration after a chaotic weight cut that ultimately proved unsuccessful, with Eubank Jr. fined £500,000 for coming in 0.05lbs over the 160lbs limit.

Eubank has had a phenomenal career, sharing the ring with many of the world’s best.

However, as a result, he has faced some pretty brutal evenings in the ring.

Conor Benn’s promoter Eddie Hearn feels that the ageing fighter's ring-wear is starting to add up - revealing to iFL TV that he believes this will be the last time we see Chris Eubank Jr. lace up.

“I truly believe that this will be Chris Eubank Jr.'s last fight on Saturday. I think he's had a lot of tough nights. I know that there are a lot of people in his team who want him to retire.

"And don't get me wrong, he'll fight with all his heart on Saturday because he's a proud man. But I think this is going to start getting really, really tough. And it was tough last time and it will be tougher this time."

Despite a well-publicised rocky relationship with Eubank Jr., Hearn doesn't seem to harbour any grudges against the British star, wishing him the best on Saturday.

"I wish them both the best. Genuinely wish both fighters, including Mr. Eubank, the best in this fight. They're both hard as nails, tough as old boots. We're going to get another great fight and may the best man win."
