Ahead of his rematch with ‘Born Rival’ Conor Benn on 15 November 2025, BBN found out some interesting facts about Brighton boxer Chris Eubank Jr. (35-3, 25 KOs).

The next generation are continuing their father’s legacies, Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn, who fought twice in 1990 and 1993 in British boxing’s biggest ever rivalry.

More than 30 years on, their beloved sons reignited the family feud on 26 March 2025 when they sold out Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium in London and provided viewers with an epic battle over 12 action-packed rounds, which Eubank won via unanimous decision.

Now, the family foes are destined to duel again, with Chris Eubank Jr. eager to repeat the feat against his adopted adversary.

Ahead of the highly anticipated rematch, BBN listed a wealth of interesting facts about ‘The Next Gen’.

Christopher Livingstone Eubank Jr. was born on 18 September 1989 in Hove, East Sussex, England to parents Karron and Chris. He has three siblings: Sebastian (1991), Joseph (1996) and Emily (1994). Karron and Chris split from each other in 2005.

He admits to getting into a lot of fights at school, unwilling to back down from anyone. there's even footage online of Chris as a young teenager meeting up for a fight in a nearby car park.

As a student, he attended Brighton College and Shoreham College for one year, as well as Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas for two years.

At the age of 16, Chris and his brother Sebastian moved to America to live with a guardian there, named Irene Hutton, as a paper adoption to gain dual citizenship to enhance their sporting prospects.

It was in the U.S. that Eubank Jr. started his amateur boxing career, winning the 2007 Nevada Golden Gloves and 2007 Western States Golden Gloves within 10 bouts. Back in the UK, he won the 2011 Haringey Box Cup and collected a respectable 24-2 amateur record.

Eubank Jr. turned pro with promoter Mick Hennessey in 2011, mentored by his father and trained by Ronnie Davies. He later signed promotional contracts with Wasserman Boxing and BOXXER.

Over the years, he has trained with Ronnie Davies; Nate Vazquez; Roy Jones Jr.; Brian 'BoMac' MacIntyre; Jonathon Banks.

During his career, he has won six titles: WBA Interim middleweight x2; British middleweight; IBO super-middleweight x2; IBO middleweight.

His biggest victories have come against Arthur Abraham; Avni Yildirim; James DeGale; Matvey Korobov; Liam Williams; Liam Smith; Conor Benn.

His three defeats all came against British world champion boxers, Billy Joe Saunders (2014); George Groves (2018); Liam Smith (2023).

His younger brother, Sebastian Eubank, tragically died just days before his 30th birthday in July 2021. Seb suffered from a massive heart attack while swimming in the sea when he was away in Dubai with his wife, Salma Abdelati , and their son, Raheem, who was only one month old at the time.

The Eubank family are prolific in boxing. Junior's uncle Simon Eubank, who was a pro during 1984-1992, is his father's brother. Another uncle is Peter, who boxed from 1980-1991, defeating Joe Frazier's son. Chris is also close with his cousin Harlem Eubank , who has won regional WBO and IBF titles.

Chris also has a half-brother, Nathaniel Wilson, who had 11 pro bouts between 2016-2020. Nathaniel is from a previous relationship Chris Eubank Sr. had with the mother Cynthia Wilson during 1987-88, but they didn't speak for 27 years before they settled their differences around 2015. Born in 1988, Nathaniel is the eldest of his five children.

His younger sister, Emily, now 30, is married to Frank Smith, who is the CEO of Matchroom Boxing - a rival promotional company that Chris hates.

In 2014, he allowed American comedian Kevin Hart to punch him in the stomach and claims that he "has got surprisingly decent power".

Chris is a car enthusiast and recalls early memories of being driven to school in his dad's Peterbilt lorry! His first car he ever bought was a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix in Las Vegas, which he immediately added 26-inch rims to and blacked out windows. Then he bought a Range Rover when back home in Brighton, and he has also bought a BMW i8; a Ferrari 488; a Lamborghini Huracan; Bentley Continental GT; and now he drives a McLaren 720S, which he rates the most fun, loud and powerful car he has ever owned.
