Chris Eubank Jr. makes good on his promise to pay boxers from original fight with Conor Benn
Brighton boxer Chris Eubank Jr. shared a screenshot of his bank account clearly displaying the transfer of funds to the 10 boxers who were due to appear on the original fight date of October 8, 2022 against Conor Benn.
At a press conference to announce their new fight date of April 26 at Tottenham Hotspur stadium, London, the two-weight IBO world champion Eubank Jr. declared, "From my purse for this fight I will be giving £50,000 to the fighters on that undercard to split between them to cover their losses."
Unified champion Ellie Scotney confirmed the news, "Just checked my Eu-BANK statement and Chris was as good as his word. Thank you."
10 boxers all received £3571.43 each from the Brighton boxer.

The 35-year-old two-weight IBO world champion commented, "From my purse for this fight I will be giving £50,000 to the fighters on that undercard to split between them to cover some of their losses.
"I'm not doing this for awards. I hope Eddie and Conor both put up theirs own £50,000."
Former IBO world light-heavyweight champion, Lyndon Arthur, also gave thanks, "Got to respect Eubank Jr. He actually paid what he said he would."
