The Canelo Álvarez vs Christian Mbilli undercard features four world title fights

Christian Mbilli will make the first defence of his WBC super middleweight world title against Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez on October 31 in Saudi Arabia, headlining the “México vs The World” event, live on DAZN.

The champion will face the former undisputed ruler of the 168-pound division on a card built around a shared theme: every bout will feature a Mexican fighter taking on an international opponent.

Among the announced matchups is David “Rey” Picasso against the Philippines’ Carl Martin. Picasso will look to add another victory to his record after capturing the WBC Silver featherweight title in August.

Jaime Munguía will face Russia’s Nikita Zon, while Rafael “Divino” Espinoza will defend his featherweight world championship against Venezuela’s Lorenzo Parra. Lindolfo Delgado will also appear on the card against Arthur Biyarslanov.

The event will feature Morelos native Raymundo Rojas against Japan’s Reito Tsutsumi, along with Carlos Rojo against Romania’s Flavius Biea and Héctor Aguirre against Cuba’s Brayan Salgado.

Erick Villegas will take on Saudi Arabia’s Sultan Almohammed, while Marcos Vázquez will face Bek Nurmaganbet.

Featuring Mexican champions, contenders and emerging talent, “México vs The World” will showcase a broad selection of the country’s fighters in Saudi Arabia. The evening will culminate with Canelo challenging Mbilli for the super middleweight division’s Green and Gold Belt.
