WBC Light Heavyweight Champion Artur Beterbiev of Russia is fully recovered after he was diagnosed with COVID-19 in December.
Due to illness, the fight between Beterbiev and German Adam Deines, which was scheduled for January 30, has been rescheduled for March 20, most likely in Moscow, Russia.
Beterbiev, 35, has an unbeaten record of 15 wins (15 knockouts). Deines, 29, has 19 wins (10 knockouts), one loss and one draw.
Before this postponed fight, Beterbiev was to face Chinese Meng Fanlong, but it was cancelled due to travel restrictions related to the pandemic.
Beterbiev has been out of the ring since October 2019, when he scored the biggest victory of his career by defeating Oleksandr Gvozdyk and unifying the WBC and IBF titles.
Beterbiev returned to training a few days into the New Year and hopes to have a more active 2021.
